Paeroa—Te Aroha (21Km)
Leaving Paeroa to meander through lush farmland, Mount Te Aroha comes into site, where mineral hot pools and therapeutic waters to relax and soak in awaits you.
After a soak in the Hot Pools you can explore the beautiful Te Aroha Domain, or if you still have energy you can hike to a look out on Mt Te Aroha, called Bald Spur. This is about a 40 minute relatively easy hike to a stunning look out point of the sur-rounding districts. If you are really energetic you can tramp to the top of Mount Te Aroha, this is a more difficult tramp, and requires correct clothing, food and supplies for an approx 3 hour hike up the mountain. A degree of fitness is required for this tramp, and it is steep and difficult in places.
